Wireless Network802.11b/g, 11/54 Mbps, WiFi wireless coverage is available in most areas of the lab. There should be no specific configuration that needs to be done to your wireless card. The access point will broadcast out available SSIDs. Select wireless network fgz, and connect to it. If you have problems connecting you should check your card settings. The following settings will work with most cards. Please do a complete power off and on between wireless network card configuration changes. Remote Access - VPNThe Fermilab Virtual Private Networking (VPN) system is used to create a secure connection between a remote (off-site) computer and the Fermilab network. When a VPN session is established, your computer has access to network resources as if it were locally connected. Users login to the VPN using their Services Account. There is no longer a VPN account request form; if you have a Services Account, you have VPN access. You will need Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client software to connect to the Fermilab VPN system.
