Pidgin
What Is It?
Pidgin is an Instant Messaging Client for Windows & Linux. It Provides onsite instant messaging capability It is capable of connecting to offsite instant messaging services such as Yahoo, MSN, AOL . Computing Division supports only the Jabber (XMPP) Protocol.

The current STABLE Version for Windows XP or later is 2.4.1
System Requirements
Below are the requirements needed in order to run Pidgin at Fermilab.
- Computer/Processor: Intel or AMD processor
- Operating System: Windows 2000 or Later
- Memory: 256MB
- Disk Space: 33 MB
- Additional requirements:
- Administrative privileges are needed to install Pidgin.

This software is made available free of charge to FNAL users and visitors.
