General Requirements
You should review your options for web publishing at Fermilab and try to determine the best long term location for your web pages before you have them listed or request server space for them.
Everyone who has write-access to a Fermilab web server must take care that only appropriate material is posted to the server; this includes the Professional Pages. Local webmasters and web area managers must review the content of any server linked to their information by only one hop to ensure that it is also appropriate in content. Guidance is provided by the Fermilab Policy on Computing.
If requesting Plone, Collaboration, Wiki, or Blog (i.e. User-modifiable content), be sure to indicate this in Comments section at the bottom of the form. Please also describe, in detail, why you require a site with those functions.
Local Webmaster Responsibilities
This is the person who will take the continuing responsibility for the appropriateness of the content on the server (not only for the content as it presently exists now but for future updates to it). In addition, this individual will be contacted in cases of lengthy periods of "server downtime" or other server maintenance issues. Use this Information for Fermilab Webmasters for help with the webmaster tasks listed below.
Other Webmaster Responsibilities: By submitting this form, the designated webmaster and supervisor agree that the webmaster knows how to do the following types of tasks, will take care of the following types of tasks for your web server, and will answer questions from web authors in your group related to these tasks:
