Password Rules
Five character classes are defined as follows:
- lower-case letters
- upper-case letters
- digits
- punctuation
- all other characters (e.g., control characters).
IMAP Email password
Minimum of 10 character. This password should be different from your Fermi Windows domain or Kerberos password.
"Services Account" password
Minimum of 10 characters
- Three of the four character groups must be used.
These groups include:
- English uppercase characters (A through Z)
- English lowercase characters (a through z)
- Base 10 digits (0 through 9)
- Non-alphabetic characters (for example ! @ # $ ^ & * % - . , )
Note: in most cases you could also use various quotes,brackets and
parenthesis, but this web form does not support them.
- The password can not contain three or more characters from your username.
- You cannot repeat your last 6 passwords
- Your password cannot contain your username or realname
Kerberos passwd
Requires a minimum of 10 characters from at least 2 character classes.
VPN password
Password length must be either 8 or 9 characters, and must contain both alphabet and numeric.
Windows Fermi Domain password
Requires a minimum of 10 characters from at least 3 character classes.
