Leave Usage System

The Leave Usage Request System is now the official way to request time off. For detailed information about how to use the Leave Usage Request System, see the Users Guide .

Filling out and submitting a leave request is very similar to the paper process. The Leave Usage Request System also provides the convenience of a calendar that shows those who are taking leave (only for those you have permission to view).

Those of you who have appropriate authority will be able to:

  • Approve requests.
  • Create requests for others.
  • Take on the work queue of another.
  • Reclaim a work queue from a proxy.
  • View the request history.

Note: You will only be able to do these things for a subset of the Division -- according to your current permissions as determined by your role(s). For most of you, your role(s) will be determined by the org chart heirarchy.

Everyone should obtain a KCA certificate from the following authoritie and install the certificate in a web browser

If, for some reason, you can't use a certificate you can use a username/password if you have the following accounts. (Supervisors will need both of these.)

  • MISCOMP (to submit a Leave Request)

  • Plone (to approve requests or manage proxies)

In order to use a username/password you will need to use the non-certificate version .
