Activity Coordination Meetings:  Tuesdays, 3-5 pm

There are several parallel series of Activity Coordination Meetings which are regular series of meetings that cover a broad set of activities within the Computing Division, and are involving a large enough effort and broad enough scope to warrant ongoing discussion and presentations. There are currently three rotating Activity Coordination Meetings:

  • Grid and Data Management

  • CD Web

The contents of and topics covered in these meetings are the responsibility of the meeting coordinators.

Briefings: Schedule

Briefings are requested single ad-hoc meetings to present to the Division Head, Division Management and Division specific proposals, issues or areas which need decision or work. A briefing is Proposed by a Department, Group, Activity or set of individuals. Information about the scope and goal of a briefing is communicated by filling out the request form and emailing it to cd-sis@fnal.gov at the time the briefing is requested, and the Division Head gives guidance on when the briefing should take place, and if such a briefing is the appropriate venue. The contents of and topics covered in a Briefing are in general negotiated between the Division Head and the proposing organization.

Budget Meeting:  On-Hold

The Computing Division is required to perform and undergo periodic reviews and self assessments.

Reviews: There was an annual review of Tevatron Operations at FNAL by DOE.  As involvement with other large-scale operations progresses, other reviews may be scheduled.

Self-Assessments: Cover administrative and infrastruture services. Typically one third of all work processes will be assessed each year. Research activities are not covered by this assessment, but activities that support the research program are.
