Scientific Interest
My research concerns astrophysical constraints on dark matter within and surrounding our Milky Way Galaxy. Spectroscopic and photometric observations of stars in halo stellar streams are used to trace and model the Galaxy's gravitational potential, apparently dominated by dark matter. I was a co-leader of the SEGUE project, part of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey II and remain active in SEGUE-2.
