Is an Instant Messaging Client for Windows & Linux. It Provides onsite instant messaging capability It is capable of connecting to offsite instant messaging services such as Yahoo, MSN, AOL . Computing Division supports only theJabber (XMPP) Protocol.

Below are the requirements needed in order to run Pidgin at FNAL.

• Operating System: Windows 2000 or Later
• Memory: Any
• Disk Space: 33 MB
• Additional requirements:
  • Administrative privileges are needed to install Pidgin.

How To Obtain

This software is made available free of charge(or cost) to FNAL users and visitors.

 The software can be installed via download (if from pseekits), SMS, RPM,  your local desktop support group or via the Computing Division Helpdesk.
