Computing Bits is distributed on a monthly or bi-monthly basis for members of the Computing Sector and associated staff. There may be impromtu editions to report on specific activities – e.g. reports from conferences.
The primary goals of Computing Bits are: to provide a mechanism for sector employees to learn about work that is being done in the sector and how this work supports the overall mission of the sector and Fermilab; to broadly communicate news to core and scientific staff members; and to provide informal tips readers can use to understand some of the software tools and terminology that are commonly used throughout the sector.
We are always looking for feedback--whether it be comments on content, article ideas or story submissions.
