Download and unpack the tar file distribution in the temporary area (requires ~240 MB): 



cd <tmp_dir>
tar -xvf  <path_to_distribution>/Pyt6158_Sim125.tar

Follow installation instructions in the <tmp_dir>/SPRING02_PRODUCTION/01README file.

Noticed Problems and Bugs

  1. Problem:
    The distribution of the cmsim libraries contains symbolic links pointing to the cern afs area.
    This does not affect production in any way
