A look at the Min Bias events from Alessandra - Weimin Wu
Weimin showed plots of energy distributions and particle multiplicity distributions from a sample of min bias events created using CMS116 using Alessandra's ntuple. He did not know whether they were processed using the caltech card file or not. The plot showed higher than normal multiplicity and softer than normal Pt spectra. This is expected, as these events are tuned to give the worst case scenario for the tracking, which has trouble with large numbers of soft particles. He showed some odd plots that seemed to hint that perhaps there was some problem with the calorimeter response at large eta (>2.2). We need to find out if this is a bug in his code, or bad response in CMS116 (at the generator level, the sum pt/eta was fine in the forward region)
