AMS/Enstore/dCache Interface

The following explains how to use AMS/Enstore/dCache interface

AMS/dCache Interface

Currently we are using burrito as a AMS/dCache server node. So run this command on burrito

cd  /afs/fnal.gov/files/home/room2/podstvkv/public/Objectivity/AMS-dCache

./ams-dcache

Snickers Federation

Logon to snickers using admin account from cmsun1 and then follow these steps.

source ~/cmsprod_setup.sh

cd /home/admin/enstore_ams/AMS/3.7.3.3

Check the AMS is running or not. If not, start it by typing

./ams-server

You can also check and stop AMS on snickers using these oocheckams and oostopams commands respectivily.

The log file is available in

/data/admin/spool/objy/

cmsun1 federation

Logon to cmsun1 as a cmsprod and then follow these commands.

cd /afs/fnal.gov/files/home/room2/cmsprod/enstore_ams/AMS/3.4.5.0

Then simply run

ams-server

It will start AMS/Enstore interface.  The log file will be in

/tmp/objy-ams

Unfortunately the log file gets deleted when  the server is restarted so if you need the  server logs for some reason you have to save that file before.
